There were once two deities who ruled in utter darkness; Both alike in sibling pride and power, yet completely different. Then out of the blackness came another. These were the Three; Helios, Lunas, and the youngest, Chaos. Attempting to settle their differences, Helios and Lunas conspired against the Third. In their paws grew the promise of creation and then they were called the Shapers. Helios and his Sister both shaped one race, giving them thick coats for the winter, bright eyes for hunting, and fangs for catching prey. They named their children; Wolves Yet the Third did not shape children. He stayed in the darkness, keeping council with the Elements of Power who’s wisdom surpassed even the mind of the his other siblings, still ancient and unknown. The Elements made him wiser than them and laughed at what he saw what they had made. Yet he still made no children. Lunas; the Fair Sister and Helios; the Bright Brother smiled, proud of their work while the Third cowered as the blackness blinded his vision. Angered that their brother still did not Shape, Helios burst through the darkness, thrusting the blackness out and commanded that Chaos shape something; anything. Chaos bared his fangs at his brother’s light, but wisdom had made him strong, stronger than both his siblings. Yet the Third did not shape children. Chaos would not relent to his brother’s will, yet he was compelled to create something. With his paws, came the gift of Death; the final passing of everything so nothing would live on except the immortal Shapers and the Third; who was now a Shaper. The Youngest Shaper tried to shape his gift into secrecy, but soon his siblings saw what he had done. Furious, Lunas and Helios snapped their celestial fangs and demanded that he take back what he had shaped. The Third Shaper became angry as well, disgusted at the fact that his own siblings shunned his gift when he knew that was the most logical and wise thing to do. The Youngest attempted to convince his siblings to accept his gift, yet they denied it. Helios and Lunas refused. A second time, Chaos asked, and a third time, and a fourth; After the fifth time the First Shapers still refused to take his gift. They in turn asked that The Third Sibling take back his gift; Chaos; The Third Shaper mimicked his siblings, refusing them in turn. In their anger for his betrayal, Lunas and Helios cast out Chaos, cursing him with a new name. Instead of the Third Shaper, he was given the name The Great Deceiver and the unknown consumed him. So he hid from his siblings accusing and hateful gaze until they had enough and instructed their children to search for him. The Wolves together showered the land in the will of their Shapers to find the Deceiver Afraid for his safety, Chaos finally put his concentration in Shaping, working many moons for just the right outcome. What came out of The Third One’s Shaping was small in number, but efficient, wise, strong…everything their parent Shaper was. Appalled by their sibling’s impertinence at the view of his children, they gave the howl of war which their own children took up in unison. Lunas summoned her elite and met Chaos’s children in battle. Helios was preparing his army, so he could not aid his sister. Lunas, Chaos’s favorite, did not want to hurt her, but the objections of his children gave him the strength in battle. At first it looked like the Third’s children were winning the Battle, but after a while of his sister’s hit and run tactics of cunning and stealth, he was forced to retreat. Yet, he did not go without giving his sister’s troops damage. Lunas’ children were almost wiped out completely by the assault. Stricken at her loss, Lunas victory was short lived, Taking what remained of her children she pulled back. Now, Helios came, fangs blazing in the Sun, only too late. Angered, Lunas demanded why he didn’t come sooner and blamed him for the death of her beloved children. Helios explained that he had trouble with his children and couldn’t get them together in time and apologized. Lunas was not so hasty to forgive and She turned away from her eldest brother. She told him that the Battle was done so she had no reason to continue fighting and loosing her children who were weak in numbers and high in death. They both went their separate ways, yet meanwhile, the Third was hastily making amends to his children’s’ numbers. Again he smote his scourge over the land, yet this time it was Helios that he went after. Without the aid of his cunning sister, Helios struggled, but fought bravely with his great number of his children. After the second battle both brothers suffered heavy losses, but in the end Chao’s children were forced to retreat once more. Helios was furious with fury at his children dieing left and right and hated his brother for shaping such a curse against all their children, Chao’s, on the other hand, was awed by it. As he pulled back his children, Helios followed with his irrationally into Chao’s land; Another Battle started. It was turning against Helio this time, as the Third’s children’s moral grew as they fought on their land. Helios was desperate, but Chao’s children held his at bay and cornered, if it wasn’t for his sister, he might have been wiped out completely. Hearing her Elder brother’s cries, she struck with a vengeance with her remaining children. The Third was in ruins, yet with his remaining children he ran from the fight. Now the Youngest prepared... Concentrated his talent... And waited. Having forgiven each other, Lunas and Helios searched for the Deceiver. When they finally found him, Chaos sprang. With his strength at the max, he unleashed his deadly fury. The Third cursed the two Shapers and vowed that never again would they walk the mortal lands of their children. The curse took effect immediately and the two Shapers vanished from the mortal plane of existence, no longer able to aid their children with their commanding presence, but before they went, they picked a wolf from each of their group of children. The two wolves were called the Chosen. Lunas chose Xelschea the Silent Shadow, who wore a jet black pelt and was the most cunning and stealthy of all Lunas’ children to lead in her absence. Helios chose Sigbald the White Order, who was especially just and strong to lead his remaining children in his absence. With one last act against their younger sibling, they shaped one final curse that, even though it wasn’t nearly as powerful enough to remove Chaos from the mortal plane, it bound the Deceiver to an ancient tree, now called The Bane’s Heart, forever trapped within it’s massive trunk. Lunas, uttering her last breath on the mortal plane promised the Second Coming; The words of a Shaper are hardly ever wrong… Raging and at a loss, Chaos called his children to The Bane’s Heart from within its branches and summoned the wolf to serve as his chosen. Vorahai the Bane's Kindred, she who was smoky grey and spoke with a venom. She was more than willing to follow her parent Shaper’s orders. Yet, The Bane’s Heart grew quiet and spoke rarely after that, slumbering inside his cage. The Three Chosen saw wisdom in retreat and separation, dividing their legions into many. Sigbald led his divisions North into the Cold Lands, Xelschea led her divisions East into the Great Forests, But Vorahai stayed where her Shaper was felled in the Crimson Peaks in the West. ~~~~ Our story starts here… One thousand years have passed and the Chosen are long gone, but their legacy lives on within the legion. There are many different sects that worship one of the three Shapers: Lunas the Huntress Helios of the Bright Glory Chaos the Deceiver Or shunned as an Unwanted. In the dreams of the wolves, Lunas’ words of the Second Coming are starting to take shape. Words are now appearing in their minds. The Second Coming will be marked by the awakening of The Bane’s Heart that has been silent for a thousand years. And yet, some wolves claim to hear it breathe and stir. Now the wolves prepare for the Second Coming, the heat of battle evident on their tongues. The path of light is narrow, yet they all are stained with blood… Which one will you walk?
